Mini greenhouse

Recreate the story of Jack and the Beanstalk in a cup! Create your own mini-environment and grow some alfalfa, while finding out what plants need to survive.     Yep Fishman, you could use seedling compost or , save on tape, dip finger in some vaseline run it along top edge of cup, when you place the other cup on its all sealed.
